Please read this letter for information regarding the process for requesting an exemption or accommodation for the universal face covering order that begins on Tuesday, September 7th by completing this form.

The attached Universal Masking Order 9-7-2021 document outlines the implementation guidelines for the universal masking order that will be in place when students return to school on Tuesday, September 7th.

School Board Meetings

The Reorganization Meeting of the South Western Board of School Directors scheduled for Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 6:30 PM is being postponed due to the York County Board of Elections recount for the South Western Board of School Directors election results not yet being certified. The meeting is being rescheduled for Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 6:30 PM in the EHMMS auditorium. Livestream will be available here.

The South Western School District will hold regular School Board Meetings in compliance with mandates for indoor gatherings (either face-to-face or virtual format), and the public is welcome to attend. Masking orders must be followed for any face-to-face meetings.

Anyone wishing to address the Board should email their request ten (10) days in advance to: publiccomment@southwesternsd.org (per Policy 903). Please indicate in the email your name, address, and the topic you would like to present, so that you can be acknowledged. Any comments submitted through this email will be forwarded to the Board for review.

Please note: Comments from the public will always be welcomed at the end of every Board meeting.

For any meetings scheduled for a Virtual format only, please email your request for the meeting link to: publiccomment@southwesternsd.org. (Please include first and last name in the email.) Unless otherwise noted, requests for a meeting link will be honored up until thirty (30) minutes prior to the posted start time. Any requests received less than thirty (30) minutes prior to the meeting start time are not guaranteed a response.
