Mustang Families and Staff: [Two-hour delay on Tuesday, January 7, 2025] ---- Due to the forecast for light snow and gusty winds overnight and a threat of a re-freeze of the roads, the South Western School District will be operating on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Should the conditions worsen overnight causing an impact on district operations, we will communicate any changes in our schedule to our families and staff as soon as possible. Thank you.

Mustang Families and Staff: Due to the forecast for deteriorating weather conditions overnight and tomorrow, the South Western School District will be closed to students and staff on Monday, January 6th. All evening activities scheduled for tomorrow have also been canceled. The Committee of the Whole Meeting scheduled for tomorrow evening at 6:30 is being rescheduled to Monday, January 13th beginning at 6:30. The make-up day for tomorrow’s snow day will be Monday, January 20, 2025. Information about the make-up day will be shared with our families later this week. Thank you.

South Western School District is proud to be a part of the @GIANT Feeding School Kids initiative! From January 1 – March 31, 2025 - you can round up at the register to support our school district’s efforts working to eliminate childhood hunger.
Through this initiative, South Western School District and other public school districts can use funds to support meal programs to expand food distribution programs, create on-campus food pantries and gardens, supply extra weekend meals, and eliminate outstanding student meal debt.

SWHS National Art Honor Society is working hard on creating the new mural for the 2024 Miller Plant Farm Winter Mural Contest! Thanks to these dedicated artists and our dedicated community, SWHS took first place last year! Woohoo! We look forward to having your support again this year. Congratulations to Mr. Aaron Trimpey (Technology Education) and Mrs. Kayt Wilson (Music) for being named Teachers of the Week. Both Mr. Trimpey and Ms. Wilson deliver amazing instruction to our students, while also giving a lot of their time to our students outside of the classroom as well.
