Two members of the cast of The SpongeBob Musical received scholarships as part of the April 28, 2024 ENCORE awards program. James Foley received a $1,000 scholarship (ENCORE Award) sponsored by the Cultural Alliance of York County. Each school musical director may select one member of their production to receive this award. Tony Mercado received a $500 scholarship judges award (sponsored by W. Dale Brougher Foundation) for best performer (ten of this type award are given). Tony Mercado also received at $2,000 scholarship (sponsored by the Coni Wolf Foundation) based on his scholarship application. Congratulations and best wishes to both seniors.
