If you were present at any of our extracurricular activities held in the Mustang Corral during the previous several years, you might have noticed that the outside of our press box needed some attention. Over 32 years have passed since South Western instructors Bob and Susan Glover created the mural when the Class of 1991 offered it as their class gift to the district (see the accompanying photos).
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped us preserve this bit of Mustang history. We appreciate all of the assistance and support during this whole process – Bob Glover, Pat Loss, the South Western Alumni Association, Music Boosters, Athletic Boosters, and the district buildings & grounds staff.
Bob shared that he has some great ideas for what could be painted on the opposite side of the press box, as he joked that we might have to find someone else to repaint the current one when it fades again in the next 32 years. In the meantime, we thank Bob Glover again for sharing his artistic abilities.
