South Western School District is proud to be a part of the @GIANT Feeding School Kids initiative! From January 1 – March 31, 2025 - you can round up at the register to support our school district’s efforts working to eliminate childhood hunger.
Through this initiative, South Western School District and other public school districts can use funds to support meal programs to expand food distribution programs, create on-campus food pantries and gardens, supply extra weekend meals, and eliminate outstanding student meal debt.

The SWHS Class of 2026 Invites you to their KIDS NIGHT OUT on December 13th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The event is open to all SWSD Elementary Students and will be held at Baresville Elementary School.
SWHS National Art Honor Society is working hard on creating the new mural for the 2024 Miller Plant Farm Winter Mural Contest! Thanks to these dedicated artists and our dedicated community, SWHS took first place last year! Woohoo! We look forward to having your support again this year. Voting will begin online and at the farm from November 30 to December 14, 2024.
The South Western School District Board of School Directors will hold a Committee of the Whole Meeting, on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 4:00 pm. The meeting will be for a purpose of approving a school field trip. The meeting will be held at the District Administration Office Conference Room, 225 Bowman Road, Hanover, PA 17331.

Community Swim for Wednesday, October 16, 2024 has been cancelled.
Last day to apply for Lincoln Edge for the Fall Semester is September 1st, 2024. Applications will reopen January 6th, 2025 for the Spring Semester.

New Hope Ministries Mobile Food Pantry will be at Manheim Elementary School on the third Monday of each month (July 2024 through May 2025) from 3:00-4:30 p.m.

'THE SERIES' - ARTIST OPENING RECEPTION - MAY 18, 2024 --- It will be held at the former Bank of Hanover, 25 Carlisle Street, Hanover, PA - on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 6-8 PM. Additional Hours: Sunday, 11 AM-2 PM; Monday, 4:30-6 PM; Wednesday, 4:30-6 PM.

Elementary Science Night - May 10, 2024 (6-8 PM) at Park Hills Elementary School.
Due to the timing of the Solar Eclipse - The South Western School District will be dismissing students early on April 8, 2024.
Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:30 PM.
Middle School and High School students will be dismissed at 1:30 PM.
Lunches will be served to students before dismissal.
Schools and Offices will be Closed - March 28, 29 and April 1.
