SWHS National Art Honor Society is working hard on creating the new mural for the 2024 Miller Plant Farm Winter Mural Contest! Thanks to these dedicated artists and our dedicated community, SWHS took first place last year! Woohoo! We look forward to having your support again this year. Voting will begin online and at the farm from November 30 to December 14, 2024.

The South Western School District Board of School Directors will hold a Committee of the Whole Meeting, on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 4:00 pm. The meeting will be for a purpose of approving a school field trip. To all South Western School District students, staff, parents/guardians and community members: The South Western School District is currently developing a three year strategic plan for the school district, know as the Future Ready Comprehensive Plan. As part of the process, all members of the South Western community are encouraged to provide some feedback for the steering committee about our district's current conditions for leadership, teaching and learning. Please take some time to complete this 12 question survey. The results will be used by members of the comprehensive plan steering committee to help address goals and action steps guiding our district over the next three years. We have been notified that a techniican will be working on the wireless beam at Baresville, and is expected to finish that work later this afternoon and evening. Service is anticipated to be restored by the start of school on Friday September 27.

Hello Mustang Parents and Students: This message is being sent to let our students and families know that the grass area marked in the stadium photo below will be closed to spectators at all Friday night football games moving forward. This action is being taken to alleviate student misbehavior on the grass area and to ensure the safety of all of our fans while in attendance. As a reminder, all children in grades K-8 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian to gain admission to the game.
